One More Thing!

We will also be putting together a family address book with current info. I am sure there have been many changes since last reunion….so start emailing me all your info including:

Names, ages, birthdates, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, blog addresses, any other pertinent info you can think of.

These are all optional, of course, but it would be great to get ahold of each other easily!

Hull Family Photo Album Volunteers Needed!!!

Hello, Family! I would really like to get a family photo album compiled and published by the family reunion. First though, I am not sure who has any or all of the old family photos. If you have photos of our ancestors as well as photos of past family reunions, it is time to dig them up and cough them up! It would be wonderful to compile these into one album for those who would like to purchase them.

Also, is there someone out there who is dying, practically falling off their chair right now because they really want to make this album? Kristy and I are more than happy to assist in the gathering of photos (YES including current ones!) as well as collecting money. I have heard that some of the online publishing companies make it possible for family members to purchase books directly online rather than through the creator. We can figure that out when we get there. Please volunteer, we need you! My email is smharker@gmail.com or call me at (509) 308-0096.

Roy & Merle Hull Family Reunion 2010

I am so excited about our 2010 family reunion to be held in Florence, OR beginning July 28th (Wed) and going through August 1st (Sun). We will be staying at the Driftwood Shores Resort (www.driftwoodshores.com) which is located directly on the beach!!! I have reserved a block of all varieties of rooms, of which each individual family will need to call the resort to reserve your own. I am hoping to get at least two families with the largest room in case we want to meet indoors. Let me know if you decide to reserve such a room and are willing to invite the whole famdamily over! There are many different combinations available. Kitchens, no kitchens, share, don't share……it is all up to you! J

The best part about this location is that once you are there it is not necessary to spend any more money beyond your accommodations! We can walk out onto the beach at any moment or use the indoor pool/hot tub facility. Other free or low-cost activities include hiking, biking, trips to the tide pools, sand castles, kite flying, crafting, treasure hunting…whatever your creative minds can come up with!

Activities with an associated cost include boogie boarding, surfing, sand boarding, dune riding (atvs & dune buggies), sea kayaking, fishing, golfing, miniature golfing, shopping of course!

There are some excursions in the works for the Roy Hull "Yellow Submarine" Fishing Trip and the Merle Andersen Hull Golf Tournament.. For questions or comments/ideas on these excursions refer to Ryan (509-380-0577) for the fishing and Ron (509-764-6619) for the golf. These events will take place on Thursday and Friday respectively.

I am already so excited about this reunion. I hope everyone is planning to make it. If you have any questions or ideas you can email me at smharker@gmail.com or call me at (509) 308-0096.

Summer Reunion

Summer Reunion 2010 (forwarded from Meredith Harker):

We will be having the reunion July 28, 2010-August 1, 2010, (Wednesday thru Sunday), in Florence, OR. We will be staying at Driftwood Shores Resort. The website is www.driftwoodshores.com. I have blocked out a number of rooms and figured each family can work out which room they would like and with whom they want to stay, then call the resort and reserve what works best for them.

We will be having the "Roy Hull Yellow Submarine" Fishing Contest, the "Merle Andersen Hull Golf Tournament" and a family excursion to the Sea Lion Caves. In addition, there will be a "Goonies Treasure Hunt" for the kids, kite making and flying, other crafts, and nightly potlucks on the beach.

This will be a great time we hope!

Thanks for the first post, Sara. I'm glad you wrote it, not me. I'm bad at posts (obviously). Also, thanks to you and Lisa and everyone involved for the work on the reunion. You can add a photo by clicking the little photo icon on the upper right of the window when posting a blog. A little different from strict html coding, but hopefully it works. I'm posting an image here from when we were all in Quincy last year.
Thanks to everyone who made this reunion so great! Especially Lisa and Amy. I had such a great time reconnecting with everyone and I hope we can all keep in touch until the next reunion. Here are a few pics from the trip. (i can't seem to upload photos to this post? So here is the link to my photo gallery.) http://web.mac.com/swestbrook2/iWeb/Site/utah.html

Thanks again. -Sara W.
